Scott has been working with sound for over a decade. He first studied Audio Engineering at TAFE (technical college) in Newcastle back in 2006 and has been honing his craft ever since. He has worked in recording studios as an audio engineer and as a session musician. He has also studied production and critical listening through Berklee College Online.
Scott became interested in podcasts about 8 years ago when he began working with Giant Gnome productions, an audio-drama production company based in the US. Since then he has worked on a wide variety of podcasts for both invidual podcasters and podcast production companies including Parcast Network.
Scott draws inspiration from some of the most popular and critically acclaimed podcasts around such as Radiolab and This American Life. Mixing and cleaning up conversational podcasts is his bread and butter but he also loves to bring podcasts to life using sound effects, field recordings and music.
Years of experience writing, recording and mixing music and podcasts has given Scott a deep knowledge of the tools and methods used to process audio and create professional sounding productions.
